Glencore Agriculture is one of the largest buyers and exporters of Australian wheat, barley, canola, pulses, sorghum and cotton.
Glencore Agriculture buys directly from growers with accumulation offices in Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
We have strong relationships at all stages of the supply chain. Using our world-class marketing, storage and logistics network, which incorporates bulk storage systems and container packing facilities across Australia, we supply customers in Australia and overseas, including food and beverage manufacturers, animal feed manufacturers, consumer product processors, local importers and distributors and government purchasing entities.
We are the largest importer of protein meals into Australia and supply product to a range of feed manufacturers and customers.
Glencore Agriculture is part of the global Glencore Agriculture business.
The global Glencore Agriculture operations span more than 35 countries worldwide, and include marketing offices in 34 countries.
Glencore Agriculture is backed by the strength of its shareholders; Glencore, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation.
Glencore Agriculture undertakes comprehensive food safety and quality management procedures to ensure all its food and feed products
meet the highest Australian and international standards
as well as end-user quality requirements.
Glencore Agriculture employees have a wealth of experience, in a wide range of areas, across the grain industry. This experience includes farming operations, logistics, storage and handling, accumulation, trading, finance and quality control.
Our field officers are based in the five growing regions across Australia and are focused on building relationships with growers. Attending grower meetings and industry functions as well as visiting growers on their farms is a key part of their role.
All Glencore Agriculture team members regularly update their knowledge by attending conferences and field days, visiting growers and end-use producers and participating in end-use product knowledge training such as animal food nutrition, feedlot management, baking, malting and brewing courses.
Sharing knowledge and market insight is also an important part of what we do. Members of the Glencore Agriculture team attend and speak at conferences and grower events. We also regularly invite international and domestic end-use customers to tour Glencore Agriculture facilities and meet growers so the customers can better understand the life cycle of the commodities they use. Growers in turn also gain a better understanding of where their commodities end up.
Our values are formalised in our practice as a business and define what it means to work at Glencore Agriculture, regardless of location or role.
Our first priority in the workplace is to protect the health and well-being of all our people. We take a proactive approach to health and safety; our goal is continuous improvement in the prevention of occupational disease and injuries.
Our approach fosters the highest level of professionalism, personal ownership and entrepreneurial spirit in all our people while never compromising on their safety and well-being. This is important to our success and the superior returns we aim to achieve for all our stakeholders.
We aim to achieve our key deliverables efficiently as a path to industry-leading returns, while maintaining a clear focus on excellence, quality, sustainability and continuous improvement in everything we do.
We recognise that our work can have an impact on our society and the environment. We care profoundly about our performance in relation to environmental protection, human rights and health and safety.
We value open relationships and communication based on integrity, co-operation, transparency and mutual benefit with our people, our customers, our suppliers, governments and society in general.

Groups and events we support include the Australian Grain Industry Conference (AGIC) both in Australia and Asia, the Dowerin and Horsham field days, MacKillop Farm Management Group (MFMG), South Australian No-Till Farmers Association (SANTFA) and the Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF).
Glencore Agriculture has also made significant donations to the appeals supporting growers, in response to emergency situations, such as the fires in Esperance in WA and Pinery in SA.
Providing a safe environment for workers, visitors and the communities we operate in is of paramount importance to Glencore Agriculture. To achieve this we take a proactive approach to Safety, Health and the Environment.
Our SafeAgri initiative drives our safety culture where all employees and visitors are encouraged to report hazards, as and when they find them, approach colleagues
or visitors, irrespective of who they are, in regards to any safety matter and always put safety before production needs.
We ensure we implement appropriate actions relevant to our role in the Chain of Responsibility, when managing the movement of commodities from farm or bulk storage to port, container packing sites and domestic end users.
